Time
The
needs around each of us seem limitless yet the clock confirms the truth
– there are only 24 hours in each day and much of that must be allocated
to just daily living. Work, eating, sleeping, and the duties of the day
all consume a great part of our allotted time. The question then
becomes, “How will I use what remains?”
Throughout
the Scriptures, we find an emphasis on investing time with people. Even
a cursory look at the life of Jesus points to a model of giving time to
people. And this makes sense if we consider that each of us wants and
needs just that from others. The pace of modern life suggests that we
simply don’t have time. But the reality is that we have the time for
what we choose to invest in.

Can we be
so bold to suggest that investing your time with other people, paying
attention to their needs and doing what you can to meet them is the
highest form of investing in leadership? Our boldness comes out of the
conviction that if the greatest leader of all time made a point to take
time for even the least significant person, then we, His followers,
should do the same. Who needs your investment?
You can
also invest some of your time directly in the work of Leadership
Ministries, Inc. as a volunteer. If you are interested in finding out
