Leadership
. . .
All men were made for it . . .Few
know it
How does a man learn how to lead?
A man learns how to
lead when other men take an interest in him.
In my own case, I was
in my mid 30’s and I knew I was in trouble. I was failing at home as a
husband and a father. And, while I “performed” well in corporate
America, I felt out of place. I was becoming angry and confused.
One day, I stayed home
for a day to think. I knew my life was becoming unmanageable. By the
grace of God, I elevated my need. I wrote in my journal, “Someday, I
would like to know the true meaning of God”. Within a year my prayer
would be answered.
Men came into my life
-- successful men, sincere men. They took a genuine interest in me --
they spent time with me…they introduced me to the Bible. They helped me
sort my life out and gave me new life skills. They led me to faith in
Jesus Christ.
The last 30 years
have been quite an adventure. In many ways they have been even more
difficult! But, my life has been filled with meaning and purpose and
much fulfillment. I continue to see the power of face-to-face personal
involvement that changes lives including my own. I am becoming the man,
the leader that God created me to be.
Now, taking the
Apostle Paul’s instructions to Timothy as a guide, “We are
teaching these things to faithful men who will in turn pass them on to
others.”
Please join us in this
important enterprise!
Sincerely,
